A recent Pew  study claims that nearly nine out of ten (88 percent) American teens between the ages of 12 and 17 indicated that they have seen someone act cruelly toward another student on a social networking site.

According to research, 93 percent of effective communication is nonverbal. 55 percent is expressed by body language and 38 percent by tone, which leaves only 7 percent for the written word. When you text, you are leaving to chance how that text is perceived and read by the receiver.

Dept of HHS Implements Texting Program

The Department of Health and Human Services will use its massive stores of health information to develop wellness and prevention campaigns using text messaging to target specific populations.

The programs are modeled, in part, after the Text4Baby public health campaign of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition. Under Text4Baby, pregnant women and new mothers sign up for the service by texting BABY to 511411, and receive pertinent free text messages. As of June 2011, about 185,000 women had enrolled in Text4Baby and received 15 million texts.

The researchers used a Subaru Outback to showcase their skills, and they not only managed to unlock the car, but also started the engine, all remotely.
